	TLC Frequently Asked Questions

	How often do TLC Groups meet, and where? Ideally groups meet once a week, or, at the minimum, twice a month. They should meet on the same day, at the same time, and, usually, at the same place for one hour. Most groups meet in host homes while a few meet at church. See Home Bible Study Groups

	How large are the groups? Eight to twelve people are ideal.

	What is the format of the meetings? Generally the first fifteen minutes are used for sharing, then thirty minutes for Bible Study, and the last fifteen minutes are devoted to prayer.

	What does the Bible study cover? The Bible Studies are life application studies prepared by the Pastor, or other studies that meet the needs of the group. You don't have to be a Bible scholar to participate. Just allow the Spirit to speak to and through you.

	What about the prayer time? Prayer time is conversational prayer. We acknowledge Christ's presence; offer prayers of praise, thanksgiving and forgiveness, as well as petitions for the needs of others.

	I'm not sure I can attend each week. Will this be a problem? It is understandable that from time to time circumstances will not allow you to attend. We just encourage you to make the commitment and attend as regularly as you can.

	I'm a very shy person. Will I be uncomfortable? Absolutely not! You can participate as little or as much as you want.

	Is TLC for Cross of Christ Members only? No. TLC is also a tremendous outreach program. We encourage everyone to reach out to neighbors, coworkers, friends and anyone who could use some TLC.

	How do I join a group? A list of active TLC groups will be published in the bulletin, newsletter, or church office. You can all access a current list on our church website. You can either 1) contact a leader or host directly to see if they have an opening or 2) contact the TLC director listed on the Tender Loving Care Home Bible Studies home page.
