On Sunday, August 27th, Cross of Christ Lutheran Church honored those who, from September 2005 - August 2006 served as Sunday School Teachers and Staff, TLC Home Bible Study Leaders and Hosts and as Sunday Morning Adult Bible Study Leaders. A total of sixty-two certificates were awarded to those who have been involved in teaching God's Word to the children and adults of Cross of Christ. Two Adult Bible Class Teachers, Bob Thomale and George Zehnder, were recognized for their many years of teaching Adult Bible Classes at Cross of Christ as each of these men are stepping down from their teaching roles. The Board of Parish Education is responsible for this educational part of the congregation and is made up of members Michael Beattie - Chairman, Patti Mieger, Cynthia Huse, Lynda Mathison, Donice Arrington, Louise Erhardt, Dennis Boldt and Larry Noack. Lauren Nietubicz, our DCE, and Pastor DeYoung are ex officio members of the board. |
