OUR CORE VALUES

WE PROCLAIM THE GLORY OF GOD AMONG THE NATIONS

WE HAVE CHRISTLIKENESS IN LIFE AND WORK

THE CHURCH IS CENTRAL IN GOD'S MISSION

THE WORD IS TRANSLATED
INTO THE HEART LANGUAGE OF THE PEOPLE

The Word of God transforms lives when it is translated into a language that speaks to peoples' hearts.

WE DEPEND ON GOD
We depend on God for everything to complete the task of worldwide Bible translation. This is His work; He always accomplishes what He sets out to do.

PARTNERSHIP & SERVICE
Our way of working best reflects the character of God when we work in community, in partnerships and always with humility. Partnerships are critical to completing Bible translation for all languages of the world.

Marshall and Vanice Schultz have been missionaries with Wycliffe and Lutheran Bible Translators for 31 years. They have served in a variety of administrative and leadership roles with the end purpose of providing the translated Scriptures to the bibleless peoples of the world.

The last 18 years, the Schultzes have been part of the International Administration in Dallas, Texas. Marshall and Vanice are part of the Executive Director's Staff - Vanice as Administrative Assistant and Marshall as International Project Funding Coordinator.

In 1999 an estimated 3,000 languages were without a translation project in progress. As of September, 30, 2005, the number has been reduced to 2,529. This number continues to represent significant progress, far beyond what was believed possible! We rejoice in what God has accomplished.

The Schultzes are deeply grateful to God for the work He is accomplishing around the world. The progress to date far exceeds what is possible for any one organization or group of organizations. It does include human elements such as better strategizing and planning, greater creativity, increased funding, and more personnel involved from churches in the developing countries. It is a tremendous privilege to serve the language communities of the world, especially those without adequate access to the Scriptures.

The three world areas of biggest Bible Translation needs are (1) Mainland Asia, (2) Indo-Pacific Archipelago, and (3) Central Africa and Nigeria. Marshall will be focusing on these three locations as he attempts to build infrastructure and capacity in national organizations and individuals through designing projects and funding.

"Let the words of Christ, in all their richness, live in your hearts and
make you wise. Use his words to teach and counsel each other.
Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts."
